Apple released another Mac OS X update — Mac OS X 10.4.5. The upgrade size from 10.4.4 is only 6MB. New improvements included some bug fix for Intel-based Mac.

Update is available via Software Update, located in the Apple menu. Or, you can download standalone installer: delta update (updates 10.4.4 to 10.4.5) and combo update (updates Mac OS X 10.4 - 10.4.4 to 10.4.5)

I won a eBay bid on Apple mini DVI to DVI adapter and planned to use it to connect to my Dell LCD monitor’s DVI port.

But, I was wrong!
Apple iBook does NOT have DVI output! The mini DVI like port on iBook is actually only a Video Out Port, which does not support DVI.

My two cents

A lesson learned. The mini DVI to DVI adapter is for PowerBook, not for iBook. iBook does not has DVI output.

After upgraded to Adium 0.88, I often get the following error message when chat with my MSN friends.

Could not send; a connection error occurred.

Restarting Adium might solve the problem but sometimes the error doesn’t get away. It is rather annoying. The official MSN Messenger for Mac is working fine.

Today, I found a test version of Adium 0.88 which fixed the bug.

Apple released the 1GB iPod nano a week before Valentine Day 2006.

Basically the 1GB iPod nano is same as its 2GB and 4GB sisters except smaller song capacity (240) and less photo storage (15,000). The price is US$149.

My two cents

Although you can get the 2GB version by paying just 50 bucks more, but the iPod nano 1GB version is great for those on tight budget but still want to cheer up their loves.
